De dollar is erg ondergewaardeerd en alleen de HK $ is nog veel meer ondergewaardeerd.
Vooral Europa (Eurozone, Scandinavië, Zwitserland) is overgewaardeerd, maar Brazilië spant de kroon. Het VK is eindelijk eens een keer niet veel te duur na de enorme devaluaties van het pond.
De verbeterde versie (normaal zou men zeggen enhanced, maar in dit geval koos de Economist het meer toepasselijke beefed-up) houdt rekening met het relatieve inkomen per land. Dan mag een Big Mac meer kosten (plek + bediening duurder). Dat is een verbetering. de Yuan lijkt zo niet overgewaardeerd, maar als de relatieve inkomens gaan stijgen in China, dan moet de yuan wel mee omhoog. en zo zal het ook wel gaan.
